Hi Eileen, Our son has only been in Tampico since June but the hardest thing so far is that we can't get any packages to him. And by the time he gets letters it is all so old he has already heard about it. So we have been just mostly emailing. I know about what time he checks his mail so it is fun because we can converse back and forth for a little bit. He is really loving it and his Spanish is coming along great. I will tell him to watch for your son. Make sure he has deet for the Misquitos and also there is a powder that you can buy for the itching I can't remember the name at the moment but it comes in a yellow bottle. He says it really rains a lot and it is super hot!! I hope that helps. how did you stumble upon my blog?
