Yellowstone National Park

We just returned from a wonderful and relaxing trip to Yellowstone. It is our favorite place to go. We stay at a place called Campfire Lodge. We usually pull our trailor up but with the price of gas we thought it would probably be "sixes" on the price if we rented one of their little cabins. So that's what we did and I'm telling you that is the way to camp!. . . Of course it's not really camping when you have running water a shower and a bathroom and full kitchen but I'll admit it. . . that's my kind of camping! We saw 4 or 5 bears this trip which was unusual but very exciting. The fishing was horrible, I don't think any of a got one bite. But we learned a new card game called Rage and it was so much fun!! We played it almost every night. . . Anyone up for a game?

Tampico Mexico Mission

We got some pictures and an email from Chris after his first week in Mexico. He seems to be enjoying it and says that his Spanish is coming along. His companion is native Mexican but speaks really good English so he has been able to help him alot. He has already been told to come back after his mission for an 18 year old Hemana (sister) to take her back to the states. Kind of funny! He says it is extremely hot but so far he has not had too much of a problem with the misquitos.

Write to Elder Chris Carter

In our weekly email we got a message from Elder Carter (Chris) saying that he will finally be leaving for Mexico!!!! He will be going either Friday or Monday and we are so excited. He also was able to perform a baptism on Saturday which he said was an amazing experience! His testimony is growing stronger every day and the language is coming along as well. We will keep you all updated but if you want to write him (which he would love) here is the address:

She did it!!!!

Isn't she beautiful!!!! She graduated with high honors as a member of National Honor Society as well as sterling scholar for dance. We are so proud of her. She also spoke at seminary graduation and did an awesome job! Way to go Kayla!
